Evaluation - Chosen Photo 2
The subject of my photo is nature. It is a photo of greenery (trees, grass) and a stream. I took this photo whilst i was on holiday in Snowdon. It was at the bottom of the camp site where we were staying. The photo focuses on the main subject because of the greenery and the rocks in the stream. The photo works because it shows texture. It shows bumpiness as the water falls over the rocks, and the smoothness of the grass on the bank. It also shows lines on the branches of the tree. The photo could be improved by maybe taking the picture on a different angle or i could have followed the the rule of thirds. Other people liked my photo but a few said that i didn't follow the rule of thirds.
Here is a professional photo of a stream and greenery like mine. In this photo they have included the sun shining through the trees, this is a good effect. It also uses textures (the fluffiness of the stream and the blanket of moss on the rocks) and it also uses lines (the trees.)

Evaluation - Chosen Photo 1
This subject for this photo is concept/lines. This photo is a picture of
a bamboo fence i have in my back garden. The photo is focused on the
main subject because it indicates lines, this matches the subject of he
photo. Lines have clearly been used in this photo, this makes the photo work. It also includes textures as there are some smooth bamboo sticks and some rough and damaged. The photo could be improved by possibly enlarging the photo and taken at a better angle. Some people like my photo because they thought it suited the the subject of the picture.
Here is a professional photo i have taken from the internet. This is a better photo because it is more zoomed out showing more of the bamboo and the photo is better quality. |

Wide Shots
This is a good photo because it shows the rule of thirds. The building is to the left of the picture and not in the centre of the photo. It also shows lines on the building. |
This is a good photo because it is a wide shot. It shows texture by the gritty and prickely ground and fluffy sky. |
This photo is good because it follows the rule of thirds and shows lines. |
